Sometimes I overwhelm myself with a day that is so filled with amazing items of growth, knowledge and connecting that even before the alarm goes off at 4am my mind is running on what needs to be done.
I started to notice myself getting shorter and shorter with my patience over the silliest stuff so I knew a change had to be made.
Instead of adding on more and more what if we focused on core elements and took the time to deeply develop our understanding of them.
For example- the old morning routine was filled with physical exercise, presence creation, visualization, read blog, read book, learn NLP. I would rush through these things and not gain clarity or insight because I was just trying to get to the next item.
When I slowed down and just focused on reading one blog per morning (after self care) and then spending time diving deep into what I could really learn from it I started to feel so much calmer. So now after I work out and create presence there is space for clarity around one item per morning.
Slow down to speed up gets thrown around a lot and I’m not 100 percent a fan. I feel there is a balance between methodical slowing down and then creating effort for effective velocity.
In this case though when I removed a few items from my plate I gained a lot more calmness and clarity on what I did take in.
All that being said let’s play a game-
Where in your life are you oversubscribed to a plethora of “to dos” and underperforming?
And then ask yourself why would you continue putting that on yourself?
